Attorneys Should Never Underestimate the Power of Politeness
A few days ago I posted Attorneys Should Never Underestimate the Power of a Favor and shortly thereafter I ran across Barbara Pachter's nine polite business practices:
- Use polite words
- Write thank-you notes
- Don’t put people down
- Don’t use offensive language
- Greet people
- Don’t play practical jokes
- Be considerate when sharing space and equipment
- Help others
- Disagree agreeably
Barbara Pachter is the author of When the Little Things Count—And They Always Count. Pachter writes about ways to approach business situations and relationships with confidence and ease when little things count and as she notes they always do.
