What Will Determine Your Law Firm's Future?
The international users group for Juris is having its annual educational conference in Nashville, Tennessee, as I write. The conversation among the 300 attendees covers a lot of ground. However, whenever you bring together people involved with the business side of law firms there is one topic that always comes up—“what partners are not doing."
Here is a David Maister quote that partners would do well to recite as the opener for every partners' meeting:
“What you do with your billable time determines your current income, but what you do with your nonbillale (investment) time determines your future.”
