Cycling Camp for Law Firm Leaders
What I've come to learn is that there are many lawyers who enjoy recreational or even competitive cycling. Some have labeled cycling the "new golf," but clearly it is a hobby that many professionals are enjoying. It struck me that a cycling camp might be a fun and effective way to bring lawyers together to network and learn how to better manage their firm. If you would be interested in a morepartnerincome cycling camp for attorneys, send me an e-mail at morepartnerincome@juris.com. I can promise you world class cycling coaches as well as workshop sessions that will send you back to the law firm with profitable ideas and insights for increasing law firm performance and per-partner income.
Cycling has grown dramatically over the last 10 years in no small part due to the success of Lance Armstrong, the seven-time Tour de France winner from Texas. I didn't know too much about cycling or Lance until I was diagnosed with advanced stage colon cancer. That experience led me to learn more about the Lance Armstrong Foundation, a charity dedicated to cancer survivorship, and I naturally became more aware of the world of cycling. Coincidently, my son and Juris, Inc.’s CEO, Stephen Collins, happens to be an amateur competitive cyclist and an investor in Lance's coach's company Carmichael Training Systems (www.trainright.com). So last year I decided that I ought to buy a bike and see what the cycling thing was all about.
In cycling, as in business, measurement improves performance. I was amazed to learn that Stephen and many of his teammates ride with sophisticated computers installed on their bikes and that they meticulously record and measure every aspect of their training and racing to increase their odds of winning. I was further surprised to learn how important teamwork is in the sport. In fact, there are many parallels between competitive cycling and successful businesses.
Since both Stephen and I are cycling enthusiasts, morepartnerincome and Juris decided to join forces and sponsor a small cycling team dedicated to developing juniors and under-23 cyclists. You can learn more about the morepartnerincome.com Development Team at www.tristarcycling.org. TriStar Cycling is a 501(c) 3 charitable organization with a primary mission to develop and mentor junior and U23 cyclists as competitive cyclists. TriStar also promotes safe cycling initiatives through their promotion of the Edgar Soto Memorial Stage Race that will be held in the Nashville, TN, area this coming Memorial Day weekend. You can learn more about that event at www.sotomemorial.org.
If you are a cyclist and would like to help support the junior team, you can make a contribution or purchase a morepartnerincome.com jersey by going to www.BikeReg.com. If you are not already registered on the site, do so and then use the search function to search for morepartnerincome.com. The proceeds of your jersey purchase go to support the team.
Don't forget, if you are interested in a morepartnerincome cycling camp, e-mail me today at morepartnerincome@juris.com.
